The Osan Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) is located in building 766 across from the Osan Chapel. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 0800-1630 with appointments available Monday-Wednesday, Thursday morning and Friday.
It is required that you register any pets with the clinic within 10 days of purchase or 10 days of arrival at Osan. All pets must be current on Rabies Vaccination and must have a microchip per USFK policy.
While our primary mission is to provide care to the Military Working
Dogs of Osan and surrounding areas, we are proud to also offer services to Privately Owned Animals (POAs). Our services include but are not limited to the following:
Heart Work Testing and Treatment
Digital Radiology and ultrasound
In house Chemistry and CBC
Health Certification and guidance on PCSing with your pet
We do not offer after hour emergency care to POA's. However we have done extensive research on the peninsula and have a complete list of clinics with directions. This information is provided in detail on our website:
If you choose to purchase a pet while here in Korea, please consult with us first. For many reasons we discourage this. Although the pets in pet stores and on the streets are tempting, they often have multiple diseases (some transmissible to people) and many die from these diseases despite aggressive medical care. Remember when you PCS your pet needs to go with you and this takes additional planning and funding. We can offer options regarding pet ownership such as fostering and adoption.
For those who are preparing to PCS - there are many requirements depending on the next country you will be assigned to. Some of these requirements may take months to complete, so it is in your best interest to contact us as soon as you know your next duty station. Again, there is more information on PCSing with your pet on the above website.
Thank you and we look forward to providing total medical care for your pet during your stay at Osan.
